Oh I wish all of us would have this kind of common sense. If we don’t pay attention and think like this world, we are going to be led and influenced by fools. BUT, if you read the Word of God, feed on the Word of God, stand on the Word of God, you will shape your way of thinking. You will start to think the way God thinks about you. He says in Jeremiah 29.11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
In order to shape your thinking the first thing to do is to think about the good things the Lord has for you. You need to remove all the religious way of thinking you grew up with, and put down all the mental blocks that are manipulating your mind. As you reshape your way of thinking, you reshape your future as well. God is giving you hope and a future.
Notice, Jeremiah says it clearly:
Your thoughts are connected to your future. You think God’s thoughts and you reap the kind of future that God wants for you.
The second thing that will help shape your thinking is to receive God’s Words in your spirit. He speaks to your spirit and you make it the dominant thought in your life. Let no other thought come and crop out what God is telling you. Cherish it with all your heart. It will grow as you think about it all day long. As his thoughts shape your thoughts, you are going to speak what God says about you and with what He tells you, the Lord will create a new future for you using the very words you utter every day.
Let us pray:
Father, I commit myself to reshape my way of thinking by thinking like you think, by meditating and receiving the Word of God in my spirit. I will meditate on what you tell me, and I will become like what you tell me. Amen
