This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8).
Success does not come by chance. It is a seed that is planted in your heart, then with time, faith and patience, grows in your life. God’s will for you is success – “you will have good success”, but as you read carefully, this statement is preceded by the word: ‘for then’. In other words, the statement of success is the result of something previously done. This is very important to know: success does not happen like that.
It starts with a decision to succeed. But more, it starts with a set of spiritual laws that you have to put in motion… “For then you will have good success”. So what are those spiritual laws?
First, you need to put the word of God in your heart and in your mouth. The word is a seed that you plant in your heart. As you plant it, it creates a spiritual mindset inside your heart. Your heart starts to think like the Word. “As a man thinks in HIS HEART so he is…” Your heart is the center of your success. It is there that it all starts.
Then that word has to stay in your mouth. Speak it constantly. Declare it over and over again. By speaking you will tell the whole spiritual world that you AGREE with the Word of God that has been planted in your heart. The more you speak it, the more it becomes true in your life. Speaking the Word is like watering the seed that was planted in the pot.Then, you need to meditate on that word that has been planted on your heart. Meditating means that you go over and over that word. As you do this, the word in you begins to incarnate itself in you. It mingles with every part of your being. At the end you become like the word that is inside of you.
When you do these things, THEN, you will have success in all what you do. This is what the Lord wants for you. Get acquainted with the Word of God. Plant it in your heart. Speak it over and over again, and meditate upon it day and night… You will see that success will indeed come into your life.
